The Importance of Working with a CFP
Having an independent financial advisor who is also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional is a huge advantage compared to traditional investment brokers. CFP® professionals exercise a high level of competency, ethics and professionalism. They are also fiduciaries, which means that they always act in their clients’ best interests.
We are proud to have two CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professionals on our team and consider ourselves some of the most educated financial professionals in the area.
As CFP® professionals, we focus on:
Education
In order to become a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, advisors must complete a comprehensive course of study at a college or university offering a financial planning curriculum approved by the CFP Board.
Examination
CFP® professionals must pass a comprehensive exam that tests their ability to apply financial planning knowledge to real-life situations. The exam covers the financial planning process, tax planning, employee benefits and retirement planning, estate planning, investment management and insurance. This comprehensive exam ensures that a CFP® professional is highly qualified to develop a plan for your finances.
Experience
CFP® professionals complete several years of experience prior to earning the right to use the CFP® certification. This hands-on experience guarantees that CFP® professionals have practical financial planning knowledge, so you can count on them to help you create a realistic financial plan that fits your individual needs.
Ethics
CFP® professionals are held to high ethical standards, as outlined in CFP Board's Code of Ethics and Standards of Conduct. They are obliged to uphold the principles of honesty, integrity, competence and diligence.
We are proud to be CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professionals and are excited to extend this knowledge and advantage to our clients.
